Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Easy Zone Plans, downloads, licensing, and support.

What does Easy Zone Plans software do?

Easy Zone Plans is desktop software built for fire alarm engineers and life safety professionals. It lets you import floor plan PDFs, draw fire alarm zones, place EN54-compliant symbols, create evacuation plans, and export professional PDFs without needing general CAD software.

Do I need CAD experience?

No. The software is designed specifically to avoid the usual CAD learning curve. If you understand the layout of a building and the fire alarm information you need to show, you can create plans quickly.

Which operating systems are supported?

Easy Zone Plans currently runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit).

Can I create evacuation plans too?

Yes. Alongside fire alarm zone plans, the software can be used to produce evacuation and egress plans with routes, symbols, and presentation suitable for client handover.

How does licensing work?

Licences are time-based. Current options include 6-month, annual, and a pay-as-you-go option for returning customers. After purchase, you activate the software with the token provided after checkout.

Do I need an internet connection all the time?

An internet connection is required for activation. Once activated, the software is designed to be usable offline for normal work.

Can I add my company branding?

Yes. Easy Zone Plans includes company branding options so your finished plans look professional and client-ready.
